Podiatric Surgery (Foot and Ankle Surgery) includes the correction of Bunions, treatment of heel spurs, plantar fasciitis, arch problems, ankle pain; sprained or fractured ankles, all types of fractures of foot and ankle, injuries, deformities, sports medicine injuries and infections. The foot may be the first area to show signs of serious foot conditions associated with arthritis, Diabetes and heart disease. For example, diabetics are prone to foot ulcers or infections due to poor circulation or sensation.
We also offer extracorporeal shockwave therapy (ESWT) at IMSC. This innovative treatment delivers strong non-invasive sound wave energy to a desired area. This treatment is similar to the shockwaves used to treat and dissolve Kidney stones without surgery. It is a valuable non-surgical means of treating heel spurs, Achilles tendinitis, and proximal plantar fasciitis.
Other innovative treatments available at our Center include:
Topaz, (radiofrequency ablation), and
PRP (Platelet Rich Plasma)
Both of which stimulate/initiate healing of chronically injured Tendons or Plantar Fascia and often used in conjunction with minimal or no surgery.
Whether you have a sprained or fractured ankle, a sports medicine injury, need bunion surgery, or any type of reconstructive foot or ankle surgery, the knowledgeable staff at IMSC is here to help. We work with many Podiatry specialists, so please feel free to recommend us to you podiatrist of choice. We have also provided a preferred physician list below for your convenience:
