(IMSC) is an ambulatory surgery center, specializing in outpatient
surgery, ambulatory care as well as various other surgical
procedures. In addition to being one of the most advanced
surgical care facilities in Southern California, our
knowledgeable and caring staff help to create an environment
for our patients that is both professional and friendly.
Ambulatory or outpatient surgery refers to surgical procedures
which are complex enough to require a dedicated operating
room, and specially trained staff, but generally do not require
an overnight stay. According to 1996 U.S. government statistics,
ambulatory care surgery centers accounted for 31 million or
44% of the total surgeries in the United States. New surgical
techniques such as endoscopy, and new anesthetic agents, combined
with the need for cost effectiveness, have contributed to
the fast growth of ambulatory surgery centers.
Our surgeons perform many types of procedures, including:
breast biopsy, benign lesion excision, skin grafts, foreign
body excisions, hemorrhoidectomies, and many others.
